The striped submarine always felt a bit sleepy in the afternoon.”I think I shall slowly sink right down to the bottom of the sea and take a little nap,”she said drowsily.”Drifting,dreaming,sinking slowly I’m almost asleep already.”
The striped submarine had nearly nodded off when she noticed a shoal of bright little fishes swimming round and round her.”We need your help!”the little fishes cried all together.”the dolphins are having a race and they are swimming straight towards a huge steel net.Hurry,hurry,you must help us!”
The dolphins were swimming so quickly they were almost there.Then the striped submarine switched on her lights and their powerful beams lit up the seabed.At the very last moment the dolphins saw the net in the striped submarine’s lights.Swiftly they swam up to the surface,leapt high in the air above the waves,then dived down into the sea on the other side of the net.
“Thank you striped submarine!”the dolphins cried .”By switching on your lights,you have saved us from being caught in that dreadful net.”
“Happy to help,”smiled the striped submarine.”now I’ll get on with my afternoon nap!”
